Suggested commentary: David A. DeSilva, Perseverance in Gratitude—A Socio-Rhetorical Commentary on the Epistle “to the Hebrews”, (Grand Rapids: Eerdmans, 2000)
ISBN: 0-8028-4188-0
Note that this book is very poor on literary structure but has some good background information on society at the time
Valuable resource: Geerhardus Vos, The Teaching of the Epistle to the Hebrews, (Phillipsburg: P&R publishing, 1956)
An older book that treats some of the themes (like priesthood) in depth. Not an easy read but a real gem.
