  • With 70 occurrences, signs and wonders are woven into the very fabric of Acts
  • It was God who did the miracles, through the hands of humans (e.g. 14:3; 19:11)
  • The great majority of the miraculous gifts are connected with evangelism
  • In many cases, the signs and wonders bore witness to the words that were being spoken (e.g. 14:3)
  • In most cases the supernatural events greatly assisted the gospel and accelerated its spread. In some cases they were of crucial importance.
